My name is Jaspreet Singh, and I am a student and a commercial aviation enthusiast.
I have always been fascinated in aviation, specifically in commercial aviation ever since I was a child. I have always found excitement over trips to the airport, and can frequently be seen in the Terminals of Kansas City International Airport with my camera in hand.
Even though my blood is infused with Jet-A, I never found the act of flying to be particularly fascinating– I have always been intrigued with the business and economics side of this industry. It appears to be a challenging industry where everything shifts on a day-to-day basis, and a place where you should come to expect the unexpected.
I decided to start this blog as a way of talking about a sector of the airline industry that can be forgotten about, startups. They tend to only make news when they get closer to their date of operations, but I wanted to create a place for more in depth news on the status of the many start up carriers in the mix. I hope to bring you guys exclusive interviews and up-to-date news on start ups over the next few years.
I currently do not have an aviation-related job, as I am still a student, but I am hoping to one day pursue a career in the industry in either operations or finance. Although I am still a student I do have some significant leadership positions. I am a member of the premier student organizations DECA and FBLA. I am currently serving as the Kansas state President of DECA after serving a term as the Reporter for the state. In FBLA I have served as my school’s chapter president, and have qualified for international levels of competition in both DECA and FBLA in events related to entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, and operations.
